Sim Author’s Tools Added to Menu

Hello sim fans!

Do you want to make a simulator? We can’t really quite grant that wish on our own, but we can get you started in the right direction, by adding a new section we call the Sim Author’s Tools, now available in our handy sidebar.

Did you know Microsoft’s Qbasic AND Quickbasic are both now in the public domain? Did you know they also have a Visual Basic 2008 Express edition available for FREE download? How about SmallBasic, a fractionalized version of VB made of just 14 keywords, for brand new newbies?

What free languages are there to program on a Mac? How about to load, run and save old Qbasic files as Windows style GUI apps? What if I told you there was more than one codeless drag-and-drop free graphical language that allowed you to make your own stories/games?

Although not exhaustive by any means, we also provide a few sites with tutorials and example source code of various kinds to help people get some samples and idea of how to do some things.

Interested yet? If so, I’d highly recommend you take a gander at the Sim Author’s Tools page, and don’t forget to tell us what you think, like or don’t like, etc!
